Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about printing with us? You’re not alone! Here are some of the most common questions we get, along with helpful answers. If you don’t see what you’re after, feel free to get in touch — we’re always happy to help.

Quotes & Pricing

Do you have a price list?
Not exactly. Because every job is different — from quantity and paper type to size and finish — we quote each project individually to give you the best value. Just send us the details and we’ll get a custom quote to you quickly.

Can you match my sample or previous print job?
Yes, we do our best to match samples as closely as possible. For best results, show us your sample when you request a quote. Keep in mind that paper type (coated vs uncoated) can affect colour appearance.

Can you meet my deadline?
Most likely! Let us know your deadline when you request a quote so we can plan production accordingly.

How long will my print job take?
Standard jobs usually take 5–10 business days, depending on complexity and finishing. If your job includes extras like die-cutting or foiling, it may take longer — but we’ll keep you informed every step of the way.

What is your minimum print quantity?
There’s no hard minimum for digital printing — you can print as few as 20 flyers or 100 post cards.

Printing Services & Methods

Do you offer digital, offset and web offset printing?
Yes, we offer all three printing methods and will recommend the best option based on your project’s needs, budget, and timeline.

What’s the difference between digital, offset and web offset printing?

  • Digital printing is fast and cost-effective for smaller runs.
  • Offset printing delivers high-quality results and is more economical for larger volumes.
  • Web offset printing is ideal for high-volume jobs like newspapers and large-format publications.

Do you print on shirts, tote bags or fabrics?
Yes, we can print on a range of apparel and fabric products including T-shirts and tote bags. Let us know what you’re looking for and we’ll guide you through the options.

What binding methods do you offer?
We offer saddle-stitching (stapling), perfect binding, and wire binding. If you have a unique idea in mind, let’s chat — we’re open to creative solutions.

Artwork & File Preparation

How should I supply artwork for printing?
Here are the key things to keep in mind:

  • Colour: Use CMYK (not RGB). If using Pantone colours (PMS), set them up in your file.
  • Bleed & Trim: Include 3mm bleed for edge-to-edge printing along with trim marks.
  • Resolution: 300dpi or higher is best for sharp prints. Text and logos should be vector if possible.

A print-ready PDF is ideal. We can work with other formats too, and we’re always happy to help if you’re unsure.

Can you help if I’m not a graphic designer?
Absolutely, we have qualified designers on-site ready to assist.

How do I send you files?
You can email files under 10MB. For larger files, use services like Dropbox or WeTransfer. You can also upload your files via FTP.

Should I impose the layout before sending?
No need — send us the single-page (1-up) version. We’ll handle the imposition and layout prep on our end.

Colour & Paper Explained

What is CMYK and why can’t I use RGB?
CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) is the standard for full-colour printing. RGB is for screens. Files created in RGB must be converted to CMYK, which can cause colour shifts — so always design in CMYK where possible.

What is PMS (Pantone Matching System)?
PMS colours are standardised inks used for precise colour matching. Each colour has a unique code (e.g. PMS 485 Red). Choose 'C' for coated paper and 'U' for uncoated to ensure accuracy.

What does GSM mean?
GSM stands for grams per square metre — it’s how paper weight is measured. For example, standard office paper is around 80–90gsm, while postcards are often 300gsm or higher.

What kind of paper do you stock?
We carry a wide range of paper types including gloss, satin, and uncoated. Looking for something unique? We can source specialty stocks from Australian suppliers.

Can I provide my own paper?
Yes, as long as it’s compatible with our press. SRA3 (320 x 450mm) is the preferred size. We’ll happily test your stock to make sure it prints beautifully.

Can I print custom sizes?
Yes! You’re not limited to standard sizes. We can print almost any size that fits our press, and we’ll suggest the most cost-effective options for your needs.

Extras & Add-Ons

Do you offer variable data or numbering?
Yes. We can personalise prints with names, numbers, or unique codes — great for invitations, tickets, or docket books. Just supply your data in an Excel file and we’ll take care of the rest.

Can I get a proof before printing?
Of course! We can send you a digital proof (PDF) or a printed proof.

Orders, Payment & Delivery

How can I order a reprint?
Simple — give us a call or email and request a reprint. If nothing has changed, we can print from the files we already have. If changes are needed, we’ll send you a new proof.

Delivery
You can pick up from our location or arrange delivery via courier or Australia Post. We also accept third-party couriers — just send us the labels. Freight is not included in our standard print quotes.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, direct bank transfer, and cash.

What if there’s an issue with my order?
Let us know right away. We’ll work with you to sort it out quickly — your satisfaction is our priority.
